I’ve never liked the word blog. Even after 20 years, it still grates on me. It’s always reminded me of blob—a word that feels like the antithesis of anything thoughtful or beautiful. Journal never quite fit either. Too private. Too casual.

However, over the years, I’ve gathered plenty of what I would call field notes—observations and reflections collected from my travels, Cotswolds retreats, and the rhythms of life at home that have been scribbled down with the intent to share. Henceforth, my ‘blog posts’ will be known as field notes.

It is my hope that you will find something within these field notes that invites you to bring inspiration home.
