Welcome to Field Notes from
Bringing Inspiration Home.
Observations & reflections from life at home and on the road.
I’ve never liked the word blog. Even after 20 years, it still grates on me. It’s always reminded me of blob—a word that feels like the antithesis of anything thoughtful or beautiful. Journal never quite fit either. Too private. Too casual.
But over the years, I’ve gathered plenty of what I would call field notes—and field notes are meant to be shared, if they’re at all useful. From here on in, my blog posts will be known as field notes: observations and reflections collected from my travels, Cotswolds retreats, and the rhythms of life at home.
I hope you’ll find something here in these field notes that invites you to bring inspiration home.
